INTRODUCTION

The Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC) is located in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. It was established in 1960 by merging seven existing universities in Florianópolis. Today, UFSC is recognized as one of Brazil and South America's top public universities. UFSC has expanded its campuses across the state to reach more students throughout the state, becoming the largest university in Santa Catarina.
